Trick Eye Museum Singapore - A museum like no other
A museum like no other.
Yes, I'm talking about one of the hottest museum in Singapore at the moment - Trick Eye Museum. I was invited over for this event by The Influencer Network last Friday. It was my virgin trip there and the only idea I had about it was through pictures I saw via Instagram posted by all my friends. So I'm really excited about this trip!
An OOTD shot that I took while walking over to the Trick Eye Museum. I really love my top. It was such a bargain.
Trick Eye Museum is a very popular attraction in Korea. Thus, when it arrived in Singapore, many people rushed to see what they had to offer and also to take really nice pictures. I'm really amazed by all the artwork and how a 2D painting can actually come to LIFE. Creativity is instrumental if you want to take nice, unique and funny pictures.
Let me give you a short introduction about this museum first. Trick Eye is actually a short form of 'Trick For The Eye' which refers to an art technique that turns 2D paintings into 3D through illusions. The discovery of perspective in the 14th century triggered the emergence of a wider range of elaborate, visual manipulations in painting. Trompe-I'oeil, a visual art technique that tricks the eye through optical illusion came into fashion in the 17th century. In case you are wondering, this kind of artwork is already being used since ancient Greece and Rome.
The museum is being grouped into 6 different themes. They are the World of Masterpieces, Love in Winter, Adventure Discovery, Safari Kingdom, Dreams of Fairytale and Stars of Circus.
Yes, you can visit all these at only $25 for adults and $20 for Children and Senior Citizens!
Of course if you want to have a swim at Adventure Cove or see some fishes at SEA Aquarium first, you can always get their promotional bundle price! They are namely the 'Adventure Cove and Trick Eye Museum Bundle' and 'SEA Aquarium and Trick Eye Museum Bundle'! Adult only has to pay $48 and Child is only $36! YOU CAN REALLY SAVE ALOT!
Trick Eye Museum is really very special. There is no way you can step into a museum without seeing the "Do not Touch" Sign. Trick Eye Museum, on the contrary, is a Please go ahead and touch and even sit and lie down kind of Museum. It is so interactive and it is totally a great day to spend with it with family and friends. If you have kids, they will definitely love this place to pieces.
Before you enter this museum, there are 4 rules that I want you guys to remember!
Rule #2 - THINK OUT OF THE BOX Rule #3 - DO NOT CARE WHAT OTHERS THINK OF YOU WHEN DOING YOUR POSE Rule #4 - CHARGE YOUR CAMERA, YOUR PHONE AND YOUR PORTABLE CHARGER With all these rules in mind, you are all ready to go! So right now, I am going to step inside the paintings to complete a visual narrative with my poses and watch a 'trick' story unfold right in front of my camera!
LETS GO!
That's one of our first take. We had to take a few times because we ended up laughing as we had to make such stupid faces.
I've got a confession to make. I always wanted to be a mermaid. Am I a legit one?
This is one of my favorite shot for the day because I think I look really angelic. Eh, my friend say that one hor not me! (I'm not self-praising! :P)
You don't have to go to a circus to take this picture. My nickname in secondary school was called 'Elephant'! HAHA
Trying to balance this. ARGH!!
I admit this wasn't a very good shot. Maybe you can try taking a good one and show it to me? I had a hard time visualizing how should I pose at this exhibit.
Fulfilled my wishlist. Sky-diving! :)
I'm a Panda and I love bamboos.
OH NO DONT LEAVE ME~
I never knew I could actually do a 75% split.
I really had alot of fun at this exhibit! It's like I can do 10 other more kinds of poses if not for those queuing behind me. HAHA
Horse racing. Can I possibly be the first to reach the finishing line?
Oh my I got a hunky 大野狼 to be my chauffeur for today.
I'm a Tee Ko Pek! Come catch me! HEHEHE
Just another lazy afternoon I guess.
This is another favorite of mine. I'm still flummoxed how this illusion is possible. I become really tiny on the left and my friends instantly became like giants on the other side. I'm guessing it had got something to do with the slope and the shading of this painting?
Oh yea!! I always wished I could do this when I'm a kid. It's like a wish come true! :)
And of course a group shot with my friends! I really enjoyed my time here.
With TIN's Dennis and William and my BFF Sandy! Thanks alot for inviting me over. It was such a crazy night!
As usual, signing off with an EPIC group shot! Saw lots of familiar face on that day.
So what are you waiting for, if you haven't visit yet. Don't hesitate anymore! This is definitely worth the money as you will be able to keep such nice and comical pictures. If you want to avoid the crowd, then maybe you can try going during weekdays. In all, it's really worth the visit!
Once again, thank you to TIN and the staffs working at Trick Eye Museum. Great hospitality from all of you! :)
Trick Eye Museum is open daily from 10am to 9pm.
